Cabling is where a majority of network problems occur. Check that the cable gives the proper LED lights. If not, try a second cable. Be sure you're using the correct cable, either a Standard Ethernet cable or a Crossover cable. Most likely you'll need a CAT-5 Standard Ethernet cable, such as when
connecting a computer to our XRouter, but this is not always the case. If connecting to port #4, the switch must be in the "][" position for straight-through as opposed to "X" for crossover mode when connecting a hub or switch.
